How to make really good coffee with an automatic drip coffeemaker?
I am still having problems making good coffee in my automatic drip coffeemaker. It does not seem to matter which coffee percolator model I use, the coffee still tastes too bitter, burnt, and almost greasy. I want the nice full-flavor of the coffee I can get from a cafe or restaurant, where there is no hint of rancidity or burnt, greasy coffee. Can anyone here help me figure out what I am doing wrong? And how to make good coffee? And maybe what coffee brands are good to start with?

Pros: Stable; Durable; Easy To CleanTook this winter camping to use over an open fire. It worked great! We must have been boiling water almost non-stop for two hours as we used it to eat, drink and fill our nalgenes before bed. By the time we were done, it was almost completely black from the fire. But once I got it home and washed it, it looked just like new again.

Pros: Large Capacity; StableCons: BulkyThe coffeepot is great for just boiling water for all your needs when car camping. It holds a good amount of water and water tends to cook quickly on the stove. The top has a piece that is supposed to keep it attached to the handle when you are not using it, but this piece is pretty useless and testy. It is not a necessary part.

Pros: Stable; Durable; Easy To CleanI love to go backcountry but when I car camp, this coffee pot is great. The hinge on the lid is a bit flimsy, but the pot is fully functional even if it detaches. It's the only pot that I felt comfortable using directly over a fire. It has worked great on my coleman grill, on steel grate over fire and even directly in the fire. It will collect soot if place directly in the fire, but it will wash right off. Great pot especially for the price.
