Does coffee go bad or start to taste funny after a while?
I have a couple of cans of coffee on my shelf that are opened and have coffee percolator probably been there for at least a year or more. Can these go bad, or start to taste different? I had a cup of coffee recently and it tasted horrible. I had never cleaned the coffe pot so I am doing that now. But could it have also been the coffee?

This is an old electric coffee percolator [has a round 2 pin socket of all things!!] that evokes so many memories of family Sunday mornings. The smell, the sounds & ultimately the taste of freshly ground coffee but more especially how good those mornings were with grand parents, parents and siblings all together. We had a family pork butcher business and, in financial terms, whilst times were not overly hard, because of the need to work, they were devoid of a lot of quality family together time.
I rescued this percolator on one of my parents house moves many years ago and we did use it for coffee making in the early days but it now serves as an ornament and sometime flower vase and, of course, as a reminder of my childhood. Happy days! :>)

This is the best cordless percolator. HOWEVER, they only las about a year !!!!!! I have had four (4) of them and something always breaks and it is always on the lid.. Either the nob of the lid comes off or the rubber under the lid that goes over the stem of the coffe basket comes off. It cost $100.00 and is it worth it for 365 days ????

Directly out of the box, the product performed very well and as expected. The coffee temperature was a perfect 195 F and, by using coarse ground coffee, there was no residue in the prepared coffee. zit looks very stylish, also.
