I'd like to throw out a HUGE thank you to Drew Worden from The Bedspreads, along with his friend Kurt. If you missed the show, you missed something big. These guys are from Appleton and had never jammed together like that in front of a crowd before. You would have never known.
They threw improv jamming at us right away with their electrics, spacing the show out with some Zeppelin and Floyd, too. Kurt's outstanding throaty voice, which I was surprised to hear from such a young guy, was spectacular. The two fed off of each other perfectly. It was as loud as pause has ever been and almost as packed, as there was a good crowd huddled outside on the sidewalk for most of the show. The energy was amazing, and it was one of those nights that had me smiling behind the bar for hours. Thanks to them, and thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the evening!
The Bedspreads have a show at the Badger Theater in Reedsburg on Friday, May 29th. Doors open at 5:30pm. The show is at 6!
In other news....
Much to my surprise...juices are flying. I'm really impressed to see it!
In order to avoid a huge amount of food waste, I might have sandwiches available only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the first couple weeks to gauge interest. This Thursday should be go-time!
